This is how you play the game...

• Answering a question and being chosen as the best answer = 10 points
• Commenting on entries = 3 points
• Voting on entries = 1 point
• Posting a gossip, question or poll = 0 points until it gets voted up...

POINTS FOR POSTING ENTRIES:
When you post an entry it gets voted on by your peers. If your entry gets a total of 5, 20, 50, 100, 500, positive votes, you get bonus points as follows:

• Junior Entry has at least 0 votes = 0 points

• Regular Entry has at least 5 votes = 10 points

• Bronze Entry has at least 20 votes = 50 points

• Silver Entry has at least 50 votes = 100 points

• Gold Entry has at least 100 votes = 500 points

• Diamond Entry has at least 500 votes = 1000 points

That means that if you post an entry that obtains "Gold Bar" from the community, you will be receiving 10+50+100+500 = 660 points for that one entry.

BEWARE:
iGossip is a place where users obtain points for their contributions thereby allowing themselves to have statuses amongst their peers in the iGossip community. If you are caught cheating or spamming, your peers will vote you (and/or your gossip articles) down, causing you to lose points. If you are a repeat offender, you will have your points revoked. Each one of these negative votes you receive affects the validity of yourself and of your gossip, as well as demeaning your status and reducing your points. If you are voted down substantially you will be suspended from the site. Repeat offenders will be banned.

NEGATIVE POINTS:
Bad stories will be met with bad results. If you post an article the community does not like they are likely to vote it down. If your gossip receives negative points it will be classified as "trash gossip" and you will lose points:

Keep in mind that there is a difference between a trashy story and a simply badly written story. It's OK to post a well written story that criticizes a celebrity or finds fault with the truth of an issue; just make sure to do a good job writing it.
