Tonight is the final night of auditions in the quarter-finals, and features the strongest line-up we've seen on the show this season. So without further adieu, let's do this.
First up is David "The Bullet" Smith. This time, his shot is going to be much higher and much farther. He has had an accident with this act before, and he was lucky to walk away alive - this time let's hope everything gos well. His cheer leaders are breaking out their best moves, and Smith is firing up the crowd like crazy. He intends to shoot a 40 yd field goal using himself as the ball. The goal post is 20 ft high and 20 ft wide, so he needs to get 70 ft in the air. The stunt goes off without a hitch, and he lands safely, accompanied by the roar of the crowd and the amazement of the judges. After commercial, the judges give their take. Howard notes that 85% of people who try to do this for a living are dead, and that people get hurt so bad attempting to this. Shanon makes a recommendation for when he comes back, flying over a flaming pit of alligators, but Howard reacts to that. Howie asks him how he can top this? Maybe by firing himself out of
Nick Cannon. Dude, inappropriate! David tells America's if we vote him through, he'll show us what he's got up his sleeve for us, so vote America!
Up Next is the clogging group, All That! These men are all married and have kids of their own, and seek to teach people the this form of dance is more than people think it is, that it's fun. Their music choice was great, and the dancing was well synchronized, and amazing. Sharon is first, and she recommends coming back with leather pants and no tops. Seriously, Sharon. Please keep your sexual tastes off camera. Howie mentions how tough tonight will be, and that they are great, but tonight will be difficult. Howard agrees with Howie's words, and drills home the fact that even though their act is great, tonight will be trying for them., so vote, America, if you like them!
The next act has inspired controversy from the judges, but tonight, he will have to win over America, not the judges, Ulysses. Howard has already gotten rid of Big Barry, and tonight, it's his goal to get rid of Ulysses. He's a man on a mission, Ulysses, so please don't fail! He's got a whole bunch of girls dancing for him, but I think his singing is a little flawed. Two buzzes plague him, but I don't hear three until the very end. It thought the song was pretty good. Howie didn't like the he Vegas'ed it up, not coming out with his original hair, the lucky sweater. Howard says the other judges wanted to put him through in Vegas, but he said it was a mistake. Ulysses is a great guy, but not a great act. Sharon loved when he took requests the first time, when he was in his sweater, without the wig. He looked like
Yogi Bear in a suit tonight, but she liked
Yogi Bear in his sweater. There were things the judges liked, but this was hit and miss time, and I think he missed. But if you disagree, America, vote after the show.
