Personal Review from an Annette Bening Fan.
On Friday night March 5th I was at Geffen Playhouse to see "The Female of the Species" starring Annette Bening. I was taken aback by Annette's raspy voice as she played a feminist icon Margo Mason who's struggling to write her next book. But the play was comical with actors David Arquette and Merritt Wever (from Nurse Jackie) all added to great performances and quick boisterous and absorbed dialogue. Of coures, theres lost of use of the word "vagina" and quite a bit of s-word and f-bombs but it's all in good fun!
I even got the chance to "bootleg" a quick picture before she show ended. That blurry picture is from my cell phone :)
One thing to note however, actress Mireille Enos stole the show. If anyone stood out the most it was her. She plays an erratic housewife who lost her edge, simply walked out on her kids, and came to confront her mother Margo about the rigid upbringing she dealt her as a child. By the end, she finds out who her real father is, a man she's known all her life but had never realized was her father.

Saw the play too! Afterwards, met Mireille and took pixs with her. (she knows me)
