Ashlee Simpson Joins Melrose Place

Ashlee Simpson has joined the cast of The CW's revival of Melrose Place.

According to EW, the 24-year-old former 7th Heaven actress will play "small-town girl Violet, a character whose disarming naivet masks the calculating, shrewd sex kitten within."

Already on board for Melrose Place is Katie Cassidy as publicist Ella and Michael Rady as aspiring filmmaker Jonah.
