Ausiello: Kate Winslet bound for HBO?

Kate Winslet better make room in her crowded trophy case for an Emmy. Killer Films is developing a five-hour TV miniseries adaptation of James M. Cain's Depression-era novel Mildred Pierce with the Oscar winner attached to headline. The project, which is being shopped to cable (including HBO), centers on a single mom struggling for independence during the Great Depression.
