Beckham to Leave Hollywood

Bad news Beckham. Rumors are that David Beckham may be going back to England. David and wife Victoria came to U.S. when David joined the Los Angeles Galaxy on a $250 million dollar 5-year contract. Now it looks like Beckham may be returning to England as early as next January to join AC Milan. If the deal is finalized it would mark an essential step in Beckham's bid to reclaim his place in the England squad ahead of the 2010 World Cup.
Beckam Chasing Glory. When Beckham came to California, the big-money move was widely viewed in soccor worls as a "golden parachute" into retirement. Time Magazine says "the highly unusual free loan arrangement leaves open the possibility that Beckham is simply going to Milan to keep in shape through the European winter by training with a top club, and keeping his England prospects alive." I wonder if the Hollywood elite in which circles Beckham travels feel that way. The Beckhams began planting roots in California and making headlines for their quick immersion into Los Angeles celebrity culture; especially their out-of-nowhere friendship with Scientology's favorite couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
Beckham in Show Business? Show business seems to be a natural call for Beckham and a much more logical next step. Afterall, his name is world renowned and soccor fans would definetly follow him to theaters. Victoria Beckham last year was in talks with NBC for a reality TV show. What happened to those talks? Not to mention, other less known soccor stars have crossed over to movies... Jason Statham is one of those exapmle soccor players people who will soon have the movie Transporter 3 released and he's not nearly as popular as superstar Beckham. So why is David Beckham not following in those footsteps?
