Actress Zooey Deschanel is ready to tie the knot.

The 28-year-old star got engaged to Death Cab For Cutie singer and Postal Service musician Ben Gibbard, 32, over the holiday weekend, celebrity informants dished to PEOPLE on Monday.

The two have been dating for almost a year.

And the good news continues to pour in for Zooey. Just last week, the actress' holiday film Yes Man, also starring Jim Carrey, opened at No. 1 at the box office, taking in $18.2 million in weekend
