The strike in Hollywood may be coming slowly to an end with several big ticket studios starting production despite stalemate in SAG contract talks.
Director Robert Emmerich began filming his latest disaster picture 2012 in Vancouver last week. The Sony project, starring John Cusack , Amanda Peet and Woody Harrelson, among others, will shoot in sound stages around the city as well as film exteriors in the cache Creek area. It will also feature heavy special effects, and is slated , barring a work stoppage to wrap in December.

Nice! I'm glad that the looming strike isn't destroying the industry. I don't want to see another Writer's Strike like ruin of the industry.
