Britney to Star in Madonna Video

Rumors have it that Britney will star in Madonna's videos to be broadcast during Madonna's tour this summer, "Sticky and Sweet". The tour slated to last for less than a month will play ten times in Europe. But why is Madonna taking the has-been, washed up Britney Spears to do a video that will play as background?

According to The Sun, Madonna will reocrd a video with Britney tomorrow. The video will be shown as background during Madonna's show. Either Madonna is very generous to help Brit pump up her career again, or she's buying "insurance". By that I mean, the Pop Diva is 49 years old -- almost a half century -- and will be turning 50 this August. Perhaps resurrectin Brit's career will help her in the next 20 years to follow when she needs a lending hand. Brit can play the protg and the Madonna-thon passes on like a batton to next Pop Diva.

Afterall, it makes sense for Madonna to do this for Brit. Both are entertainers bringing in a combination of so, so, talent -- dancing, singing, kissin women, -- rather than a Mariah-like sensational voice. In orther words, they are not a one-trick-pony, and Madonna is either going to willfully pass the legacy on to whom she choose or it will be stripped from her by the next hot Pop Diva dish. So why not choose someone like Britney who is down-and-out and try to resurrect her career? It's a big bet, but one which could pay out over time for Madonna.

Or perhaps Madonna is returning the favor. After all, Britney had Madonna guest star in her video "Me Against the Music" back in 2003. Who knows, but one thing is for sure, we are going to see a lot more of both girls for years to come
