Heather Locklear won't have to dig deep for her next role. She'll be playing a famous actress.

The former Melrose Place star has landed a lead role in cbs' sitcom pilot, The Assistants, according to Deadline. She'll play Ali, a big-name actress whose emotional problems and insecurities may have led to her success.
