In what's sure to bring out the claws, Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole is "temporarily" splitting off from the group to work on her solo career.
She, will, however, be joining the ladies on their upcoming UK tour.
A spokesman for the group confirmed that Girls Aloud will be taking a break to pursue various solo endeavors from "music to acting to beauty to fashion" - which just sounds like a diplomatic way of saying that
