Chris Diamantopoulos will play Rob Weiss, the new Chief of Staff to President Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones) in the upcoming 8th season of 24, reports EW.
The 34-year-old actor, who's best known playing Debra Messing's gay BFF on The Starter Wife, will help prevent an assassination plot against a visiting foreign leader (Slumdog Millionaire's Anil Kapoor) in New York City.
