You know what was a great show? The Marshal. Before Justified and In Plain Sight, it was the perfect mixture of an intelligent, funny show about a US Marshal. It starred Jeff Fahey. I bring it up because Jeff Fahey is on this week's episode of "Two Actors Who'll Probably Be On A New Show Next Year" as
Michael Ealy's mentor. In an opening that deserves a better show, he and his team of cops show up at the end of a shoot-out to find a witness hiding under a car...a witness who goes to the bathroom because he's about to vomit, then escapes out a window. Roll credits...
To balance out Jeff Fahey, Not
Daniel Craig calls in his old mentor, none other than Kevin Tighe from Emergency. He's the head of Missing Persons where apparently Not
Daniel Craig used to work. Pretty sure Missing Persons-much less the head of the department-doesn't track down fugitives from crime scenes, but that means we got 9 minutes in before something utterly stupid showed up which may be a new record. To make him seem smart everyone else has to be too dumb to check to see if their witness used a different name, but similar to his own. In this case "Charlie Perez" instead of "Carlos Perez." You know how
Charlie Sheen's real name is Carlos Estevez? Yeah, they have to be that. dumb. Jeff Fahey tells
Michael Ealy that he needs to put cuffs on the shooter or it's his ass with his new boss who doesn't like "cowboy cops."
Michael Ealy tells him he'll make it happen. He returns to his desk to find Detective Emergency sitting at it critiquing the crime scene photos to which
Michael Ealy rightly points out is the responsibility of the techs, not them. Detective Emergency accompanies them back to the crime scene--along with his little Jack Russell terrier that he calls "Snowy 2" because "Snowy" died and
Michael Ealy once again points out how weird that is. Not
Daniel Craig concedes this by saying Detective Emergency has earned his right to quirks. --- Start WP Socializer Plugin - Sharethis Button -->...
