Death is Easy - Comedy is Hard

What is comedy; or perhaps more simply, what constitutes funny? The answer to that question is so complex, that I suspect this entry is going to be all over the place. But the "Charlie Sheen fiasco" got me to thinking - why don't I think, Two And A Half Men, is funny.
