Gwyneth Paltrow was a no-show, but, then, she was not invited. A few Hollywood luminaries attended the party that Christian Louboutin and Vogue gave on Thursday night to introduce Christian Louboutin's new line of Christian Louboutin Boots , but they were upstaged by a more rarefied breed of fashion arbiter: those impeccably groomed, high-profile New Yorkers who represent Manhattan's young society. The screen stars and supermodels who customarily grace such events seemed, well, so yesterday, compared with the uptown princesses Christian Louboutin enlisted to act as billboards for its brand. Invitations that read "Dare to be spoiled with the hottest Christian Louboutin Shoes of your choice" were sent to a select 100 of Manhattan's hip and rich. "We agonized over the list," said Ali Wise, Christian Louboutin's director of special events. "Each of these guests was handpicked." To most of us, buying a RM1,000 tote or loafers can burn a hole in the pocket but Christian Louboutin Couture (Southeast Asia) operations manager Regis Rimbert disagrees. What's more, the new store evokes the latest look (the first in Asia) that closely resembles Christian Louboutin's flagship boutique in trendy Avenue Montaigne, Paris. While the decor is cleverly done, the lighting too has been given a brilliant ingenuity. "Each display shelf has a different kind of lighting feature to bring out the best of a particular product," says Jenny Gallyot, Christian Louboutin operations manager for Malaysia.(http://www.christianlouboutinshoes. me/)
