Slumdog Millionaire sweetheart Freida Pinto is featured in a new 50s-style pinup shot for Vanity Fair.

"Bombay (now known as Mumbai) is literally the third character in the film, and a very important one, says Freida, a 24-year-old former model. "The most wonderful thing about [director Danny Boyle] is he's not focused on poverty only. He shows that Bombay does rise above it.
