Jennie Garth and
Shannen Doherty may be walking the halls of West Beverly High together (watch the
new promo) but the actresses' reunion as they taped scenes for the new
90210 wasn't exactly warm - at first.
"It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be," Garth tells in a new interview. "I was a little nervous because I hadn't seen or talked to her in 14 years. Everyone was making it out to be such a big deal that I think we both fell prey to having that affect us."
Continues Garth: "I'm not much of a small talker, and I don't think she is either."
While they seem to have put their differences aside - the duo once had a fistfight on the original
90210 set, according to
Tori Spelling's memoir
sTORI Telling- the two may not see eye to eye about one thing: Spelling's future on the CW show. (Spelling will not be reprising her role as Donna Martin on the show, according to both Spelling's rep and a spokesperson for the CW.)
"I know Shannen probably doesn't share the feelings that I have for Tori, but I love Tori like my sister," Garth says in the interview, revealing that she is starting a "Bring Back Donna Martin" campaign and is disappointed that Spelling is not part of the new show.
But Garth is optimistic that she and Doherty will continue to work together smoothly and professionally.
"We're both grown women, both professionals," she said. "Once we were working, it felt like a good fit.
