WTF Moment: Be less an individual and more like the team

In this episode, Blaine, in coaching Kurt for the Warblers, tells him to be less the individual star with the singing and more a team player. Yet, it seems that in the performances there isn't a rotation of leads, but only Blaine gets to lead? WTF to the team theory. So, I guess the be a team person applies to everyone else in the Warblers but not Blaine.
