Dana Barron to receive award for fire safety work - Dana Barron award

Rumor control: Dana Barron mentioned here on igossip in several places for her rumored pregnancy with her 5th child and in a very popular poll that focuses on her recent rumored and well talked about full nudity scene in her latest soon to be released film titled The Invited is rumored to be receiving yet another award for her fine work in educating children to the dangers of fire safety.
Barron most notably famous for her role as Audrey Griswold in National Lampoon's Vacation has reportedly worked for years with McGruff the crime dog in fire safety demos and film strips for the public school system. Dana Barron and McGruff have won several awards for their work in this field and are rumored to be receiving the coveted Excellence in Fire Education award for what is reported to be the 3rd time in the last 10 years.
Congratulations go out to the actress from many of her online fans. No word as to whether or not Barron will accept the award. Her work in fire safety isn't widely known among the public despite lots of information about it online. Kudos to the actress in my opinion. It's always nice to hear a story of a Hollywood celebrity all be it a minor one in this case but a celebrity none the less giving something back. Education is its own reward but I imagine the actress is honored to be receiving the Excellence award just the same.
More reports will follow as more is learned but for now I and many others wish Dana Barron well with the new baby girl on the way in November and congratulations go out for the latest in a long line of awards and accolades.

I had read about her fire safety stuff at whosdatingwho. That's really incredible and she deserves the award I hope she accepts it.

That's the funniest thing I've read all day. This explains why nobody knows who she is in the polls. Most people don't watch film strips and Vacation was 30 years ago I think.

Dana Barron give me a break. She's a nobody who cares if she's winning an award. I notice it's not for acting. Nobody has heard from this girl as far as acting goes since 1983. Big thumbs down for this story. WHO CARES!

I don't agree with porkerpete. Dana Barron is cool and she's been in lots of things in supporting roles for the most part. I think it's great she's getting a reward. Her work with kids and education is legendary.

Holy cow Dana Barron is divorced, pregnant, nude in her next movie and winning an award for children's education all in one year. She's been one busy little girl since Vacation. I wasn't even aware she still was acting. My blessings to the actress.

I agree it's been a big year for Dana. Nobody has heard from her in 20 years and then she's on the TMZ site back in Feb and the divorce news and the preggers stuff and wow. I hope she makes a comeback. She's been in the industry a long time and she deserves a little good luck I think. Congrats to her on the new baby girl too. That's fantastic even if it is unplanned.

cool I read she was pregnant too. Good for her I say. I loved her as Audrey Griswold. I think she was the best Audrey.
