Hachiko: A Dog's Story is a 2009 American film drama based on the true story of the people of Akita Hachiko. This is a remake of Japanese film Hachiko Monogatari 1987. The film was directed by Lasse Hallstrm, written by Stephen P. Lindsey and stars Richard Gere, Joan Allen and Sarah Roemer.
