Helen Hunt To Replace Maura Tierney On "Parenthood

Helen Hunt is being eyed for role on the new NBC sitcom Parenthood after actress Maura Tierney pulled out of the project to turn her focus to battling breast cancer.

Production on Parenthood went on hiatus in July to allow Tierney - who appears in the series pilot - to undergo a "medical evaluation" after she was diagnosed with cancer. The star formally withdrew from the cast last week.
