Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal declared a state of emergency in anticipation of Hurricane Ida on Sunday. The declaration is a precaution that will enable state resources to be used for emergency and disaster situations.
The Louisiana National Guard, state Wildlife and Fisheries and LA State Troopers have all been placed on high alert, and have been ordered to maintain a state of readiness should they need to begin moving equipment
