Doctors at the Royal Marsden today pledged to dramatically increase the child cancer survival rate as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge opened a new unit.
Medics at the Oak Centre, part of the world-renowned Royal Marsden Hospital, want to raise the 75 per cent survival rate for young cancer patients after concerns that this has hit a "plateau" in the last decade.
