This is probably one of my most difficult posts to write but there are rumours circulating that
my future husband Kiefer Sutherland's show 24 is on its last eighth
season. Is this a nightmare or is this really happening?
It is believed executives from
20th Century Fox TV and
Fox are going to be making a final decision in the next day or two but with increasing production costs of the show and decreasing ratings it is making it difficult to justify keeping the show. Isn't it enough that they are making lots of us happy with having
Kiefer run around in the show? Sometimes money isn't everything, right?
Although the thought of selling the show to other
networks is there, because of how long the show has been on, it is believed interest will be limited.
The film side of
20th Century Fox has hired
billy ray to write the screen version of the show which will take place in
Europe. That pitch idea was a hit with executives so although we won't be seeing
Kiefer weekly we will (hopefully) get to see him on the big screen.
I'm really sorry to be the bearer of such bad news. This is a very sad day for all of us
Kiefer Sutherland stalkers fans.
