Jazz Singer Abbey Lincoln Dies

Jazz singer Abbey Lincoln, who was also known for her civil rights activism, is dead at the age of 80. Read more on Abbey Lincoln's death below.

Abbey Lincoln died on Saturday at a nursing home in New York. Lincoln's cause of death was not released but she had been in bad health for quite some time.

Abbey had a career as an actress and singer in the late 1950s and 1960s.
