Briefly: Jon Spaihts immediately became a writer to watch when he was tapped to write an
Alien prequel for Ridley Scott, after his scripts
Shadow 19 and
Passengers drew interest from studios and actors. Now his
Alien prequel has become
Prometheus in the hands of Damon Lindelof and Mr. Scott, so it seems it's time for Mr. Spaihts to move on.
So Jon Spaihts is continuing his relationship with
Jerry Bruckheimer, for whom the writer is already tapped to pen an adaptation of the graphic novel
World War Robot. Now he's sold another pitch to Bruckheimer, and while we don't know the details of the story, it is being called a 'space adventure.' [
