She couldn't let Asslee hog the baby spotlight!

Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Jessica Simpson and her boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, are "actively trying" to have a child of their own.

"I wouldn't be surprised if Jess makes an announcement that she's pregnant very very soon," a Simpson insider tells us.

Poppa Joe's already plotting all the money he'll make selling baby pics and - a wedding too!
