Joey the Hotdog Champ

I may be a little late in posting this bit, but Coney Island had it's annual 4th of July Coney Island Hot-Dog Eating Contest. That's how some folks celebrate their freedom and who are we to judge? This year's winner is defending champion Joey "Jaws" Chestunt, who won in overtime from six-time champion Takeru Kobayashi.

Both men ate 59 hot dogs during the 10 minute contest and then proceeded to "overtime" to see who could eat five additional hot dogs the fastest. CNN qoutes Chestnut as saying, "It was a little messier than I wanted it to be, but I got them in me and I got them down."
