Jon Gosselin is just your average, blue-collar Joe these days.

These amazing pictures obtained by TMZ show the former reality slob on the job - installing solar panels on the roof of a storage building - earlier this week.

Guy was such a waste of space, it's nice to see him make the planet a nicer one with Green Pointe Energy, a Pennsylvania renewable energy company.

Guess that sales and marketing gig didn't pan out ...
