Cable news pioneer Larry King, 76, announced his retirement from showbusiness on Tuesday, and while he hopes it will be American Idol host Ryan Seacrest who replaces him when he hangs up his suspenders as host of Larry King Live this fall, CNN chiefs may have other plans.
