Keira Knightley is back on the market, confirms sources in Los Angeles. The UK hottie split up with her longtime boyfriend, actor Rupert Friend. She met Friend in 2005 when both starred in "Pride and Prejudice.
"Yes, they have broken up, Keiras father, Will, told the U.K.s Sun. "But thats the way things go, unfortunately. The only option is to get on with things. (So nicely said. I can hear the accent just writing this).
What caused the split? Jealousy apparently grew over the "Pirates of the Caribbean stars fame.
"Rupert hates the idea of being followed and photographed. Keira partially had to accept it because of her rising profile, a friend said. "It affected the harmony in the relationship. The pressure took its toll and both decided they should go their separate ways. They will remain lifelong friends.
I really wish they'd stop blaming the media for being famous. There is a cost to celebrity and with the paychecks they're bringing home, I'm tired of hearing their whine like spoiled brats!
