king of Swords
Description:
The King focuses on acting out the qualities of the suit of Swords,
making him authoritative, dignified, and evenhanded. He is logical and
reasonable, one who can quickly see to the heart of the matter and
explain a situation in plain, no-nonsense language. He is honorable,
truthful and outspoken, and encourages those around him to emulate
those same traits. Drawing the King of Swords is a prompt to outwardly
emulate him, acting as he does. Ask, "Am I acting logically,
reasonably, honorably, and equitably or am I allowing myself to act
dogmatic, unreasonable, dishonorably, and judgmental?" The King can
also represent an actual person, male or female, who acts as he does,
or an atmosphere of dignity, justice and truth. Reversed, the card can
signify one who speaks of honor, but does not act with it. This can
also be an aspect of the self. Look within to determine whether actions
are consistent with values.
