Terry Bourgeois who has spent time with Lil Wayne has testified there were times when there was pot and guns on the rapper's tour bus. But, Terry said he never saw Lil Wayne himself with a gun. The assistant also said he didn't know if a weapon was on the bus in July, 2007 when the rapper was busted on gun charges in Manhattan.
The testimony comes as the rapper faces weapons charges in New York. A police officer testified last month that she boarded Lil Wayne's bus after a concert because she smelled pot. She says when she got aboard, she saw the rapper try to hide a gun.
Defense attorneys want to get the charges tossed, saying police falsely claimed they smelled pot so they could illegally board the bus.
Lil Wayne has pleaded not guilty and is free on $70,000 bail.
