Lindsay Lohan Remembers Parent Trap Mum Natasha Richardson

lindsay Lohan was 12 when she shot to child stardom in The Parent Trap. But she wasn't too young to remember who helped her rise.
"She was a wonderful woman and actress and treated me like I was her own," the now 22-year-old starlet said of former costar natasha richardson, who died Wednesday from head trauma apparently suffered in a skiing accident two days before.
"I didn't see much of her over the years but I will miss her," Lohan added. "My heart goes out to her family. This is a tragic loss."
Richardson played Lohan's prim British mom in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap who, with the help of Lohan-times-two finds love again with her ex, played by dennis quaid.
In life, Richardson's survivors include her husband of 14 years, liam neeson, sons Micheal, 13, and Daniel, 12, mother Vanessa Redgrave, sister Joely Richardson and aunt Lynn Redgrave.
Also expressing his sense of loss was Scottish actor Alan Cumming, who costarred with Richardson on Broadway in Cabaret. The duo took home respective Tonys for Lead Actor and Actress in a Musical in 1998.
"I, like everyone, am totally devastated by the sudden death of natasha richardson," Cumming wrote on his personal website.
"The term 'life force' seems trite but that is what she was: a woman who powered through life and fascinated everyone she encountered. I have been thinking about the times I spent with her since I heard the news of her tragic accident, and the strongest memory I have is of her laughter, her unmistakeable throaty laugh. I think that's a great way to remember someone.
"She was a brilliant actress. I will never forget her Blanche Dubois [in A Streetcar Named Desire]. It was almost too much, too real and raw. Liam and the boys and her whole family have lost an amazing woman. We all have. Goodbye, darling."
