Lisa Marie Presley and rocker husband Michael Lockwood are 'beyond thrilled and blessed, elated and saturated in happiness' for the upcoming arrival of their twins, the singer wrote on her MySpace blog Friday.
Presley, 40, thanked fans for "all of the amazing positive energy and beautiful well wishes."
Though Presley just confirmed that she's expecting twins this week, she admitted on her blog that "a few months ago" she let the news slip to Entertainment Tonight before she "begged them to edit that out."
Twins may run in Presley's family: her dad, Elvis, was a twin, and her
mother, Priscilla, has younger brothers who are twins.
Presley, who's due this fall, wrote that she is not recording new music now "as there isn't much room for breathing and singing right now.
"Writing and recording will resume when the little occupants in there have decided to join the outside world," she explained.
Lisa Marie - who wed Lockwood in 2006 - has two children from a previous marriage to Danny Keough
