Mariah Carey New 'American Idol' Judge

Mariah Carey has officially signed on as a new "American Idol" judge for next season, which begins in January.
FOX confirmed on Monday that Carey has joined the singing competition, which lost two of its three judges.
Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez both resigned leaving two empty seats at the American Idol judges table.
Carey has signed on to fill one of the seats tweeting, "It's gonna be so much fun working on @AmericanIdol. As a singer-songwriter, I'm excited to help find and nurture new talent. LYM! -MC."
