The Hollywood Walk of Fame stars of actresses Sharon Stone andd Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were defaced and smudged with the words "FUR HAGS!" by anti-fur campaigners over the weekend.

Activists supporting animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have made a campaign of routinely discouraging the use of fur and protesting against the torture inflicted on animals as part of the fur trade.
