Burlesque model Dita Von Teese's "offensive" cleavage has been censored when she guest starred in an episode of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." The CBS executives think that the buxom actress' busty look is not appropriate for TV.
Von Teese, 38, filmed an episode for the crime drama, in which she plays three characters " a meek school teacher, her femme fatale alter ego that is also a burlesque dancer by night, and her murdered French grandmother, who can be seen in flashbacks.
And since she is required to perform her trademark burlesque routine in the show, she had to wear sexy costumes during the shoot.
But network executives feel that her cleavage was "offensive" for national TV.
She told TV Guide, "There was a lot of network talk about my 'offensive cleavage,' which I found interesting considering how much blood and gore there is. We had to take it down a notch."
Still, Von Teese said she enjoyed her time filming, saying, "I think it is important to try new things and I hope my efforts come off well. This was a much bigger role than I originally thought."
Her "CSI" episode is slated to air January 20.
