Philip Seymour Hoffman could still be in line to play The Penguin in the next Batman movie after a mock-up image of him as the villain was released online.

A source claims the computer enhanced picture was created by studio Warner Brothers to see what the star - who has previously denied he has been approached about the role despite strong rumors - would look like as one of Batman's nemesis.

The actor has previously said he would not be interested in the role if it was offered to him.

He said: "I'm more a fan, so the interest of being in it isn't that great. It's more the interest in wanting to see the next one. It's probably better that way. I don't know if I'd be a good Penguin to be quite honest."
