Cops investigating the murders of
Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and nephew have until Monday to charge the singer/actress' former brother-in-law with the killings, or set him free.
William Balfour, who was married to the Oscar winner's sister Julia, was arrested last week, following the grisly murders, and held by police on a parole violation. But he has yet to be charged, and the Chicago Police Department is running out of time to keep him in custody.
Police sources tell a sourse,Balfour is scheduled to appear before the Illinois State Parole Review Board on Monday at 9am - and will walk away a free man if there isn't enough evidence to charge him with a parole violation or murder.
No other suspects have been named in connection with the Hudson killings.
The star's mother Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason, were found shot dead at their home in Chicago on October 24. The body of the singer/actress' seven-year-old nephew, Julian King, was found in an abandoned car three days later.
