Prince Philip to miss Burghley House trip

The Duke of Edinburgh will not be joining the Queen on her visit to Burghley House on Wednesday because of a bladder infection.

Buckingham Palace confirmed today (Monday) that the Duke will miss a garden party tomorrow (Tuesday) in Sandringham and will not be on the east midlands tour on Wednesday.

He was due to join the Queen and the Duke and Duchess Of Cambridge in Nottingham before heading to Burghley House, near Stamford.
