Project Runway Recap 8/9/12 'Women on the Go'

Last week's challenge, in which the designers got to dress past PR stars, proved to be a game changer for the designers. Christopher was forced to nudge his partner Andrea in front of the bus while Kooan's own aesthetic and voice was compromised working with an overbearing Gunnar and demanding client, Irina. Tonight on Project Runway, the pressure of last week's challenge has serious repercussions but sheds some light on the exclusivity of this opportunity.
The morning after Andrea's elimination, Christopher talks to the guys about how frustrating the runway was with her. He fears that there will be tension between them. Kooan wakes up unhappy and pensive. The group heads down to Madison Avenue to Michael Kors new store to meet Michael and Tim. Before he gives the contestants there challenge, Tim first addresses Andrea's mysterious departure. He says they have not been able to contact her but have no reason to believe she is not safe. The designers seem confused but mostly frustrated at her willingly seizing such a coveted opportunity.

In this week's challenge, the designers will draw inspiration from Michael Kors' clientele: the woman on the go. The gang must design a look that is versatile, preferably easy to transition from day time to night time. Tim implores them to keep comfort, practicality along with versatility in mind for their garments. He even encourages textiles that will reduce wrinkling!
