The UK paper, The Guardian, recently declared MSNBC's Rachel Maddow as the "voice of America." Sorry Rush and Glenn.
Maddow is an unapologetic liberal but she's also refreshingly logical and absent the normal cable news histrionics (although she does a fair amount of mugging). She's a Rhodes Scholar who isn't afraid to talk like an adult. In fairness, Maddow may not be the voice of America as much as a reminder of the dearth of smart voices
