LOS ANGELES - While critics were bashing the latest self-portrait photographs of erotic artist Nia Griffith (Epicenia), formerly known as Will Griffith, the artist was planning his comeback.
The first photo in the series, entitled NIA NO.1, showed the artist masturbating a virtually non-existent penis in full color form. For his part, Griffith said he allowed the release of the photographs so critics could compare his painting to the original photographs.
Griffith had the last laugh, once again pulling an artistic rabbit out of his hat and using that first photo to create his latest work,
"GREEN WITH ENVY", a self-indlugent take on 'penis envy' and recognizing his less than adequate endowment.
Griffith released a statement tonight saying the assessment of poet, Muse and personal mistress Alysyn Bourque was correct, but that art critic Samireh Samadi failed to see the vision behind the photographs.
"As a critic, she missed the mark. As a critic she sucks", Griffith retorted.
Griffith also revealed a painting of Alysyn Bourque today, entitled:
"AMERICA'S MISTRESS", and dedicated to Bourque's upcoming release of Blacklight Chronicles and her collaboration with erotic artist Nancy Peach, deemed 'Empress of Erotic Art' by her fans and admirers.
Griffith said when he photographs someone or something it is always for later inspiration for a painting, whether realism or abstract.
Griffith laughed-off Samadi's critique today saying, "those without a vision eventually persish. That's why she can sit on the sidelines as critic and I am the artist."
