It was in 1987 when Joe Richardson lost his college class ring while fishing on Lake Sam Rayburn near Buena Texas. He had just graduated from Universal Technical Institute in Houston. Over the years as time passed, the loss of his class ring became a faded memory. On November 28, 2008, Richardson received a phone call from a gentleman who had been fishing on Thanksgiving day when he reeled in a 8-lb bass. He was thrilled with his "catch of the day," but even more thrilled with the unexpected bonus that came with it. Inside the fish, the fisherman found a glass ring with the name "Joe Richardson" etched in the band.
