The new year got off to a booming start for country sweetie Shania Twain: She got married!

Just weeks after confirming her engagement to Nestle executive Frederic Thiebaud, Shania tied the knot in Puerto Rico on New Year's Day, a rep for the singer confirmed to PEOPLE on Saturday evening.
