Sienna Miller and Russell Crowe in Robin Hood!

We weren't aware that we were getting another adaptation of the Robin Hood tale into a movie. But we're getting one anyway! And the lead role of Robin Hood will be played by Russell Crowe. That's certainly a different take on the role. And that's not all for him. Crowe will also play the part of the evil sheriff of Notthingham.

Christian Bale was originally slated to play the role of Robin Hood, but now Crowe will be taking both on. And none other than "don't harass me cuz I'm a homewrecker" Sienna Miller is set to star alongside him as Maid Marian. Ridley Scott, whom Crowe has worked with on Gladiator, is the director.

The production had faced a setback which delayed shooting, because their location, which was supposed to feature lush green trees, looked too barren for Sherwood Forest.

Production has tentatively been pushed back to Spring 2009 when the leaves on the trees turn green again.
