Sons of Anarchy Recap 9/18/12 Season 5 'Authority Vested'

The fifth season of Sons Of Anarchy started out with a bang last week as some of the unresolved issues of season four came back to haunt the members of SAMCRO (mainly the death of Niners leader Laroy's girlfriend Veronica Pope). Two new faces make an appearance in season five in the forms of drug kingpin Damon Pope, Veronica's father (played by guest star Harold Perrineau) and escort agency owner Nero Padilla (played by guest star Jimmy Smits).
Wayne Unser deals with the aftermath of the home invasion of Gemma's house with The Help of Clay and Juice.
Meanwhile Jax, Bobby and Chibs find Tig at the scene of his daughter Dawn's death and destroy the evidence of Tig's revenge killing of a police officer working with Damon Pope and the man hired to clean up the dead bodies of Dawn, Laroy and another member of the Niners.
Damon Pope discusses how to deal with the Sons with his right-hand man.
Jax, Bobby, Tara and the lawyer that represents the Sons talk in private of how to deal with RICO and Romeo (played by guest star Danny Trejo) as well as the accusations brought against them that they were seen shooting at and killing members of the Niners by witnesses.
Jax tells Tara that he does not want to wait any longer to get married. They agree to get married that very day and get a marriage license.
Wayne Unser briefly talks with Police Chief Roosevelt about the home invasions that have been occurring around Charming and tells him of his intentions to investigate them further.
Jax, Tig and a few other members of the Sons find Tig's daughter Fawn and warn her that she is in danger and should leave town with her boyfriend as soon as possible.
Clay visits Opie and discusses the death of Piney with him. He also tells Opie that the club needs him now more than ever.
Gemma finds out about Tara and Jax getting a marriage license when the Sons lawyer delivers it to the Teller Morrow garage.
Nero gives Jax a ride after the meeting with Tig's daughter Fawn. They discuss the similar situations that they find themselves in with the work they do. Nero makes a pit stop to visit his physically disabled son at a care center. They are then followed by a member of the Niners.
