Sopranos "Baby Cakes" Found Dead

The AP is reporting the actor who played the gay lover of a closet homosexual on the HBO show The Sporanos has died of a self -inflicted gunshot wound. The actor's name is John Costelloe who was found dead in his Brooklyn home on December 18th in what looked like a suicide.


The AP says, "The 47-year-old former New York City firefighter gained fame in 2006 when he was cast as short-order cook Jim "Johnny Cakes" Witowski opposite Joseph Cannascoli, who played gay mobster Vito Spatafore on the hit HBO show.


Seems awfully strange that an up-and-coming successful actor would take his life, but I think that is what people always forget to recognize -- including this blogger -- which is things are not what they appear in the movie business.
