Almost after a week since his arrest for allegedly beating up his Girlfriend, the R&B singer Rihanna, Chris Brown makes his first public statement. To overcome the enormous amount of requests to set the record straight, Brown, 19, hired a PR company specialized in crisis management.

"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired," began Brown, without mentioning anything about the fight .

"I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones," he said. "I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person."
